How To Get Rid Of Red Shaving Bumps?

How To Get Rid Of Red Shaving Bumps?

Are you in an endless battle against the red shaving bumps? Well, it’s not hopeless. These bumps are caused by hair that either never make it out of the follicle or are curled. When they re-enter the skin your body cannot recognize it which is the cause of having red and swollen bumps.
The bikini area can be a very problematic area for this problem, but don’t jump to the wrong conclusions! With the correct actions you can get rid of them very easily.

Treat Your Skin

Firstly, letting the hair grow a bit is a very good idea before shaving again. Otherwise, the bumps that are already there will only get irritated and more will appear. Resist the urge to scratch the problematic area – your fingernails dug in your skin can lead to an infection. You can also treat the skin with Retin-A, which is derived from Vitamin A and helps the skin get smoother. However, if you are planning on waxing, do not use this product. It can weaken the skin!

Treat Your Razor

Dull razors must be thrown in the trash immediately! If you wish for a clean shave, a rusty razor will not help you. Try to shave every second or even third, if possible, day. The everyday shaving irritated the fresh bumps! Gentle exfoliation clears off the dead skin cells and makes it easier for the razor to cut everything in the way. Last, but not least, try not to go over the same area twice. As I have already mentioned before, it irritates the skin!
Preventing For A Long-Term
Waxing and a laser hair removal are the two choices for a long-term smooth skin with no red bumps. Both cost more than a razor shave, but you have to decide by yourself which option is better for you and your skin.

Mod Makeup Styles

Get ready to channel your inner Twiggy because today we’re breaking down the mod makeup look.

Mod Makeup Styles

Step 1: Bold Brows.

To pull off eye makeup like this, you want a full brow, so fill them in! Need help building your perfect frames? We can help you get better eyeshadow.

Step 2: Eyeshadow Base.

To create an even base and hold the eye makeup in place, start with an eyeshadow primer. We love Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden. Then wash a pale khaki-colored matte eyeshadow across the entire eyelid.

Step 3: Dramatic Crease.

Take a dark grayish taupe eyeshadow and apply it to the hollows of your eyes. Follow the crease from the inner corner all the way to the outer edge. Just this once, don’t go too crazy blending.

Step 4: Graphic Eyeliner.

The look is heavily defined eyes, but keep it from looking harsh by using an eye pencil instead of liquid liner. Wing the line down (rather than up, which creates more of a cat eye) slightly at the outer corner.

Step 5: Drop Eyeshadow.

Bring definition to the lower lash line by applying the same color you used to create your dramatic crease under your bottom lashes. Only sweep the eyeshadow in about halfway, to avoid closing off the eyes.

Step 6: Highlighter.

Using a pale pink or nude pencil, highlight your brow bone and the inner corners of the eye. Continue the color onto the waterline to really make your eyes pop.  We recommend Benefit Eye Bright or Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil in Sin.

Step 7: Extreme Eyelashes.

To finish off the look, curl your lashes and layer on as many generous coats of mascara as you please. Go the extra mile and add a set of false eyelashes. Shu Uermura Black V False Eyelashes were made for this look.

How To: The Ballerina Bun

Let’s face it. At one point all of us had aspirations to be a ballerina. Who wouldn’t want to twirl around in a tutu and ballet slippers? For most, this dream is just that — a dream. However, just because we aren’t destined to star in Swan Lake doesn’t mean we can’t look the part. One way you can channel your inner ballerina princess is by donning the signature hairstyle

How To: The Ballerina Bun

Step 1.

Section off a two-inch piece of hair from the front of your head. Pull the rest of your hair up into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic band.

Step 2.

Pull a 1/2-inch piece of hair from the front side and split into two separate pieces. Pull a 1/4-inch section out of the ponytail and start braiding with the other two pieces of hair.

Step 3.

Continue braiding, using the French braid technique of gradually adding pieces to the braid as you work your way around the head. Stop once you have pulled all the hair from the pony.

Step 4.

Wrap the braid into a bun and secure with bobby pins. For a fuller look, loosen the bun with your fingers. Finish the look by spraying the hairstyle with a strong-hold hairspray.

Easy Steps in Making a Beautiful Bun

Easy Steps in Making a Beautiful Bun

Classic buns are great, but when you combine braids with buns something special is created. Having the classy effect of the bun and the elegant note of the braid, this hairstyle is glamorous and perfect for special occasions. And on top of that, you can make it for yourself and this will make everyone think you just got out from a hair salon when in fact you have made this hairstyle in a few minutes at home.

What you will need:

– a hair comb;
– some hair elastics;
– bobby pins;
– hairspray.

Directions:

1. Wash and dry your hair as usual and split it into three sections: two small ones in the front and a big one at the back.
2. Take the comb and give volume to the back sections then add some hairspray to it.
3. Gather the hair from the back section into a ponytail.
4. Give volume to the hair from the ponytail again then create the bun and fix it with some bobby pins.
5. Take both sections of hair, comb them together and put them on one side.
6. Start braiding the hair from the front all way long and attach it to the bun. Fix with bobby pins as needed.
7. Loosen the loops of the braid a little bit then apply hairspray to the hair for a better hold. Enjoy your out of salon look!

Find the Perfect Lip Color for Your Skin Tone

One important aspect of a well done make-up is a lipstick that matches and harmoniously embellishes with the skin tone of the person. We have seen many cases when the lipstick color was wrongly chosen so we want to show you what goes with what, so you know how to find the perfect lip color for your skin tone.

Find-the-Perfect-Lip-Color-for-Your-Skin-Tone (1)

Generally, there are four main skin tone categories:

1. Fair or Light

For a light skin tone, bright colors are the best choice. Light pink, soft brown and everything pastel to beautiful beige are enhancing and complimenting the skin.

2. Medium

For medium skin tones, colors like passion red and lipsticks with shades of orange work best.

3. Olive

For an olive skin, deep pink and dark reddish colors are a win as long as you don’t go too dark with them as they can make you look like a sick person.

4. Dark or Deep

For a dark skin, deep shades like dark red, chocolate brown and dark pink are perfect. If you will pick shades that are much lighter than your skin, you will create an unnatural and plastic look you want to avoid!
Of course, in the end you want to look gorgeous, so it won’t be hard to remember these charts, play with the shades and stick to the one that looks the best on you!

How to Choose a Hairstyle

How to Choose a Hairstyle
Hair comes in a variety of textures – from limp and silky thin hair to frizzy and bouncy coarse hair – and you should style yours accordingly. For instance, a short and choppy fast cut that works on straight, thin hair won’t look good on someone with thick and curly hair. Here are some general guidelines.
  • If you have thin hair with a silky texture, avoid wearing it in a long, blunt style that can make you look childish. Instead, favor volume-creating layers and try a shorter cut that hits at your shoulders or above. Never blunt cut bangs, and opt instead for a side swept look.
  • If you have thick, coarse hair with natural curl or wave, don’t cut it too short – you’ll end up with “Christmas tree” hair that’s full and bushy at the bottom before tapering up to the head. Hair that’s prone to frizz usually needs a little length to weigh it down. Consider cuts that start at the chin or below, and go longer if your hair is frizzier.
  • If your hair is of medium thickness with a “normal” texture, you can elect a short or long style

How Do I Prevent My Eye Makeup from Running

How Do I Prevent My Eye Makeup from Running

Humidity, that heart-wrenching YouTube video, an Adele song that hits too close to home—these are all culprits in one thing: ruining your eye makeup.
In the dark category of annoying things (like chipped polish and snagged tights), running eye makeup tops the list. We asked makeup artist Tim Quinn how to avoid this cosmetic pitfall once and for all—here are his tips.

1. Don’t Over-Moisturize

Excess moisturizer will cause your makeup to smudge, so don’t over-do the cream around your eye area right before applying makeup.

2. Consider Waterproof

“I like using waterproof shadows and pencils. Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows are terrific,” says Quinn. For waterproof liner, we’re currently loving Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.

3. Powder Up

“After applying liner on your upper lid, go over with a translucent powder using a fine liner brush. As for lower lashes, I use a sheer pressed powder along the lash line before and after applying liner,” Quinn suggests. Here at Team MDC, we like Make Up Forever HD Micro Finish Powder.

Brows, Au Naturel: Perfect Your Eyebrows Without Makeup

Brows, Au Naturel: Perfect Your Eyebrows Without Makeup

Step 1: Trim

A natural eyebrow doesn’t mean an unruly eyebrow. Use a spoolie brush to brush your brows directly up. Carefully trim any hairs that are visibly longer than your natural brow shape.

Step 2: Tweeze

The look is still supposed to be slightly unkempt, so only tweeze away the obvious strays. The aim should not be perfection. Rather, you’re only trying to remove any hairs that are distracting.

Step 3: Brush

Brush your brows into place by sweeping up and out, away from the center of your face. Resist the urge to guide every little hair down as you go. Brushed up brows look fresh and modern, especially when they’re not filled in.

Step 4: Set

Set the shape with a dab of clear lip balm. It’s not as stiff as brow wax or gel, but will hold the hairs where you want them and also darken them up just a touch.

HOW TO ADD VOLUME TO YOUR LOWER LASHES

Products You Need: Eyeliner, preferably a black liquid liner. And a mascara.

HOW TO ADD VOLUME TO YOUR LOWER LASHES

1. Start off with bare lashes. You can see that my lower lashes are barely there.
2. Taking your eye liner, add equal-spaced dots along your lower lash line like shown below.
If you want to add more drama to your eyes, you can add more dots than this.

3. Now apply mascara to your lower lashes. Be careful while applying it and make sure that none of the mascara gets on to the skin below your lashes – that is going to make your eyes look droopy and spoil the entire trick.
4. And Boom! You suddenly have lower lashes. You can see that the places where I have dotted the eyeliner looks voluminous giving the illusion of doll-like lashes.

When it comes to eyelashes the rule “the bigger, the better” is highly recommended. There are plenty of techniques you can try at home to extend and volumize your eyelashes. Don’t spend money for expensive beauty saloon procedures. First try it alone and if you don’t like the result then run to the nearest saloon. Check out this suggestion for longer and bigger eyelashes:
  • Curl your lashes.

  • Apply a waterproof mascara.

  • Now apply lash fibers before the mascara dries.

  • Immediately apply another layer of mascara.

  • Don’t forget to apply mascara also at your bottom lashes.
  • For bigger effect you could stick false lashes, just at the outer corner of the eye.Done!

Eye Makeup Tips: A Color Cheat Sheet for Stunning Eyes

Choosing a wrong shade of eye shadow can make you an object of unwanted attention. Great choice of eye makeup enhances the overall natural beauty of any woman’s face without drawing unnecessary attention to makeup. At the same time, wrong shades can drain natural colors of your complexion and make you look sick. Proper understanding of skin tone differences and eye shadow colors can help you avoid these pitfalls, so here are a few valuable eye makeup tips.

Eye Makeup Tip #1: Not Experienced in Makeup? Choose Universal Shades!

Neutral cool and warm eye shadow colors are excellent for those, who are new to makeup. Exceptional labeling is extremely helpful to understand and select the right eye shadow color until you become more familiar with base undertones of every shade. Neutral cool and warm eye shadows look great on any complexion.

Eye Makeup Tip #2: How to Chose The Right Colors for Your Skin Complexion

If You Have Dark Complexion

Eye Makeup Tips

Avoid using white or ashy eye shadows because they can appear dull on dark skin. Stick to vibrant hues that will blend evenly with your skin tone. Go deep: soft shades are likely to fade away too soon on darker skin. Stick to warmer shades if you desire to stand out. Something like purple berries and metallic gold looks great on dark complexion.

 If Your Have Fair Skin

Eye Makeup Tips

You might find silver smoky eyes very attractive but all you beautiful fair-faced ladies are going to appear bruised instead of gorgeous, so make sure you stay clear of gray! Cool pinks, soft greens and soft taupes will look amazing, but remember that highly pigmented choices will eventually subdue your natural beauty. Also, make sure that you apply your eye shadow only a few shades darker than your natural skin tone to avoid overshadowing of your eye by contoured lids.

Eye Makeup Tip #3: How to Choose The Right Eye Shadow for Your Eye Color

Blue Eyes

Eye Makeup Tips

All you gorgeous women with beautiful blue eyes can dramatically accentuate your eye color by applying pastel eye shadows like pink, lilacs and blues. You can even make good use of dark charcoal eye shadow with a little eyeliner to create a stronger impact.

Green Eyes

Eye Makeup Tips

Women with gorgeous green eyes can subtly accentuate their eye color by choosing bright green, walnut and yellow eye shadows. You can draw attention to your eyes by coordinating eye shadow with respective colors of eyeliner and mascara.

Brown Eyes

Eye Makeup Tips

Women with brown eyes can accentuate their eye color by using deep brown hues accompanied by lighter highlights like peach or white. It’s very easy for women with brown eyes to achieve dramatic effect: just apply an extra coat of mascara or contrasting colors of eyeliner and eye shadow.

Hazel Eyes

Eye Makeup Tips
Women with hazel eyes can use shades ranging from brown to green. These colors are often accompanied by flecks of gray or gold to underline their natural radiance.  You can easily play with hazel eye makeup to dramatically accentuate your eyes. If you wish to highlight the green in hazel eyes, opt in for lavender, plum or violet eye shadow. If you wish to accentuate the brown in your hazel eyes, then apply yellow, grays and browns – you will notice the difference!

Going Out Smoky Makeup Tutorial

Such makeup can be pulled off greatly by people who have blue or green eyes, because it makes them stand out so much more and mesmerize their surroundings.

http://static1.beautifulshoes.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/going-out-eyes1-685x336.jpg

However, even brown eyed girls can do it, but I would advise you to accent only on your eyes – be careful with your lips. Shades, different than your natural lip color, will be too much for your face.
So, enough, talking, let’s get started!
We will need eye shadows and eye pencils in darker shades, along with the needed brushes as pictured below. Firstly – outline your eyes with a pencil. Be careful when doing step number 3 in the picture below, because if you overdo it, it will not look very pretty. When you are done, smudge the pencil with a brush and then put on a bit of eye shadows for a better effect.
You can also accent on your eyebrows and put shadows with your skin color right under them. That’s also a good way to mask the imperfections. Shade your brows and put on mascara and you are ready to party!

How to Create Smokey Eye

1. In the very beginning you have to apply concealer all over your top eyelids all along with your under eye area. Besides concealer you can even make the use of foundation as well that will going to act as the base for your eye shadow.

2. Now in the second step of smokey eye makeup you have to make the use of eyeliner pencil or liquid eyeliner. You have to apply eyeliner on both top and bottom eyelids. If you have smaller eyes then you can apply eyeliner starting at the middle of the bottom eyelids going toward the outside corners of your eyes.
3. Now make the use of q-tip small eye shadow brush for the sake of softening the eyeliner’s edges. You can even make the use of a sponge-tip applicator to apply with the dark shadow.
4. Now for blending the eye makeup you have to make the use of wet-dry brush.
5. Now in the end you have to apply the mascara. Make sure that you just apply the 2 to 3 coats of black mascara. This will going to help you to make the eyes dramatic and tantalizing.
6. For giving away the clean finishing look make the use of fluffy brush or press powder applicator.
7. Now apply the lip color that is complementing for the smokey eye makeup such as peach, very light pink or caramel.
So all the women out there follow these 7 steps for fabulous smokey eye makeup and make your eyes look striking for others.

Golden Smokey Eyes Makeup Tutorial

There are some simple and very interesting ideas that you can use to get a beautiful eye makeup according to the winter, but I wanted to try smoky eyes for a time now and I wanted to use some bright and some shimmery shadows with smoky eyes cause I was kind of getting fed up of light and baby shades and natural and nude shades so today as it is getting a bit cooler now, I decided to try something bright and I am using orange-ish gold today and I am loving the ideas to use it for cool, but sunny day.

As you would know by now that I always start with washing the face with applying the moisturizer and then serum and then some prime and then my skin is ready for makeup, I will take some yellowish concealer and then I will apply under and around my eyes, but not in half circle way, instead I am using the triangle look and blend it well.
Now the first thing that I will do is fill in my eye brows because I love well groomed and thick eyebrows and for that I am using creamy black eye pencil and I will just fill the gaps cause I don’t like opera look, I just want to look perfect.
Now we will draw a triangle at the outer end of the upper eye lid with the smooth eye pencil and then we will fill the triangle with the eye pencil to get perfect look and then we will smudge the triangle inwards with finger or thin brush and now we will take a matte brown or dark gray eye pencil and draw a thick line on the lower lash line but not on the whole, just till half of the line and blend it outward with the thin brush.
Now we will take some brown eye shadow, you can use any you like, but I am using a mate light brown shade and apply over the lid and then smudge all over the lid and we will smudge it over the triangle too, now we will take shimmery eye shadow and will draw a diagonal line according to the black triangle , but it is better to not to rub it, use dabbing motion, now you need to take orange shade and apply on remaining portion of the lid, but we are using orange to make golden look more cute,
Golden-Smokey-Eyes-Makeup-Tutorial--598x481
so if you are using any other shade then you can use other shades too.Use Kajal to apply the thick liner and apply mascara to finish the look.

The Baby Powder Trick

There are some things a girl should always have in her beauty-bag – mascara, foundation, lipstick. But there is one product that’s not make-up that offers a solution to almost every problem you can have when it comes to your look – baby powder.

You can use it if you have greasy hair by brushing it into your roots. You can use it to stop your eyeshadow from gathering in the crease. It removes smell from shoes. But one of the coolest things it can do is to thicken your lashes and make them look as if they’re false.

The trick is to firstly spray some hairspray on a clean mascara wand and brush your lashes. Then dab a make-up brush in some baby powder and run it over your lashes.

 POWDER TRICK
After that just put on mascara and you’re good to go! If you want longer and bigger lashes you can powder them after every coat of mascara.

Vintage Winged Eyeliner Tutorial

Some of us are born with the skill to apply the perfect winged eyeliner without having to remove it and re-apply a thousand times. And some of us, like myself, look at eyeliner as something that we’d never be able to perfect and we’ve already put up with it. But after you see this easy trick to apply eyeliner you’ll never have problems with it again!
You will only need your eyeliner and tape. That’s all.

vintage winged eyeliner cover
Take two strips of tape with the same length and put it on your lids, forming a V-shape on your eyes. The shape depends on you and how you want your eyeliner to look. Then, just fill in the space between na tape strips with the product! After you remove the tape you’ll have perfect winged eyeliner as if you’ve trained many days to perfect it.

To finish the look, add mascara (or false lashes), highlight your brow bone and fill in your brows.

Different Way to Line Your Eyes

Tired of the classic way of lining your eyes? Because summer is here you could go for something different, fresh and fun like this gradient winged liner tutorial. You can try it out when you have a little more time to play with your creativity and makeup. You won’t look classic and you won’t look dramatic either, just a little bit different and playful.

What you will need:
- paper;
- pencil;
- scissors;
- eyeliner in the color you want.
Directions: Take the paper and with the pencil start drawing small hearts on it like you can see in the picture. With the scissors, cut on the model of the hearts and you want to use the part that is clean for the winged line. Take the paper and be careful how you hold it (as close as you can to the eyelid) so you can fill it in with the eyeliner. Make the eye line then you can remove the paper and voila, you have just made a gradient winged line to your eye. Do the same for the other eye and apply whatever makeup you want over it or above it.
