Sometimes you want to wear matte lipstick, but it happened not to have the wanted color into its matte version. That’s not a thing that you should worry about, because there is a trick, that will turn the texture of the lipstick from glossy to matte, the texture of any lipstick! Take a look at the trick, but first, I will show you how to prepare the lips for the application of any dark color, and then, I will show you how to create the matte finish of the lipstick. Here we go:
- Every time you want to apply dark-colored lipstick on your lips, you have to prepare the skin for the lipstick. Usually, the dark colors enhance the flaws of the lip skin, which are most likely to be: dry skin, blackheads at the borders of the lips, cuticles that stick out of the lip surface. All these flaws can be easily removed with the lip scrub. I recommend you to prepare the lip scrub at home, because it is extremely easy. See how: take a tablespoon full of white crystal sugar and a teaspoon full of liquid golden honey; mix them into a small container and rub the lips with that magical mixture before the sugar dissolves into the sweet honey. Then rinse the lips with water and apply some type of moisturizer immediately on the lips. If it happen to get dry again, the whole point of getting the lips scrubbed, will be worthless.
- Once the lips are prepared with the exfoliating procedure, you should apply the lipstick traditionally – apply the lip liner and then top it with the lipstick.
- And now, let’s create the matte finish – first, remove a little bit of the lipstick with a soft tissue; then cover them with translucent powder. That’s the trick – translucent powder. Apply it, smudge it nicely and you are ready to go. Enjoy!
