If you’re a parent, you know that hectic mornings usually result in simply hoping your kids are actually dressed and accounted for as your rush out the door.
Well, there’s a woman in Melbourne, Australia who is changing the morning
hair game by creating incredible braids, that are veritable works of art,
for her daughter each day.
Meet Shelley Gifford, mom to 6-year-old Grace and self-proclaimed hair
braid obsessive.
Growing up she always loved braiding and would take any chance she could get to braid family and friends hair.
"At the time though I only ever knew how to French and Dutch braid," she said. "I wasn’t aware that so many other extensive braids existed."
Then, in early 2014, she discovered a whole new world on social media with moms showing the creative hairstyles they did for their daughters.
"It was then that I started my own Facebook and Instagram braiding
accounts," she said.
She started following other hair and braiding accounts, asking questions, watching video tutorials and attending braiding and up-do workshops.

“I just love learning new styles and advancing my skills," she said. "I’m hair obsessed.”
Now thanks to that obsession, Grace gets a different hairstyle every day.
Each night, Shelley thinks of a new style for the next morning. But how long does each one take?
did you like it ?
