Handy Tool For a Winged Eyeliner

We all know that the winged eyeliner is a little bit difficult to apply, especially when you are a beginner in the big and exciting world of the makeup application. First of all, you have to get used to motion. You have to train with a clean brush. When you feel ready, you have to try it for real, but here is my advice: use a hard-bristle, pointy, pen-like eyeliner. It his perfect for beginners. But there are a few more steps to follow so you will get the right results. And here are the steps, I will describe them all to you one by one, your only job is to follow them strictly:

  • The most important rule of every makeup application tutorial is to apply a makeup primer on the lids. This simple product will hold up your makeup all day long and it will protect it from smudging and creasing.
  • Then apply a base color on the lids. You can see by yourself that your lids are slightly reddish. This is simply because the skin there is too thin and the blood cells create this reddish hues. This can be fixed with a little bit of oil-free concealer or a matte beige eyeshadow.
  • Then, draw one line at the outer corner of the eye. This line must be an elongation of the bottom lash line.
  • Then connect line with the upper lash line.
  • Fill in the empty space.
  • Trace the whole length of the top lash line if your eye is big enough, but if it is not, leave the liner cover only the outer half of the lash line.
  • Then, finish the look with a coat of mascara.
